I’ve been working closely with my good friends at Vresh to make this happen. The ideals on which the brand is founded are close to my own. It includes environmentally friendly manufacturing and distribution and fair trade business ethics. They are involved in every step of the production process from start to finish; which is exactly how I approach music production.
Vresh is based just 30 minutes from where I live, so we were able to talk about everything in person. Importantly, I could see and feel the clothing to make sure that we would end up with high quality products.
It was essential for me to get the fabric right. Quite often shirts start to feel itchy and stiff after a couple of washings, they shrink or discolor and you stop wearing them. Apparently you can tweak the materials you use to prevent this. After trying out different options, Klaus (the owner) and I decided to go with a custom made fabric that blends cotton and polyester. This is the good stuff!
The new merch is all stuff I wear myself; for gigs, skateboarding or doing absolutely nothing while laying on the couch. Slim shirts with a slightly longer cut and minimal design on a custom made quality fabric. I hope you will love it as much as I do!
